Tis the season to Dress Up! Christmas time is the perfect time to get out all of your festive party wear. I absolutely love dressing up a bit, it’s so fun and makes you feel so special. I’ve put together five looks to give you some ideas for a party occasion.
The first look is this gorgeous green velvet dress paired with some glittery gold heels and a pearl necklace. The dress is from Missguided last year but I found the most similar one I could from this year’s selection – click here. I love wearing velvet at Christmas and green is such a festive colour.
I said I like wearing velvet at Christmas – for this look I’ve got a pink velvet dress from H&M and I’ve put it with this heart necklace. I’ve gone for a full pink outfit with some light pink heels which somehow matches because of the different shades of pink that come out on the dress when the light hits it.
For a more simple but still gorgeous outfit, I’ve put this black, velvet (yes, velvet again!) skirt with this pink ribbed top. The skirt has a pretty zip with diamantes on it which gives it that party vibe. I chose to wear these little black heels with the outfit which keeps it not too ‘OTT’. This look is perfect for a slightly dressed up event but not all out.
I love tartan during the festive season (which you may have realised from blogmas day 2) and this little strapless dress is so cute and girly. This actually a dress from a few years ago now but there are slightly similar ones online – here’s a couple of pretty tartan dresses I found: Angelo Red Tartan Skater Dress, Lara’ Black Red Tartan 1950’s Vintage Inspired Wrap Swing Skater Dress. I also paired this with gold heels because they’re so festive.
This last look is very vintage inspired but I think it looks so pretty at Christmas. If you don’t like showing off as much skin, this is perfect because it’s still super gorgeous but covers what you want. For this dress, I once again paired it with the gold heels as it has gold spots all over it. I managed to find a very similar dress to this called the ‘Audrey’ Black Polka Dot 1950’s Vintage Inspired Swing Skater Dress which is so cute!
