I don’t know what I would do without my mum and I’m sure a lot of you feel the same way so I think it’s only fair that they have a special day when we can appreciate them. I also believe they deserve a little gift to make their day so here are some last-minute ideas to surprise our marvellous mother’s.
Flowers, Chocolate and a Card
You don’t have to splash out on Mother’s Day, just make a kind-hearted impression. Some suggestions would be picking your mum’s favourite flowers, for example, I would pick daffodils for my mum as she loves those, especially in spring. As for chocolates, the best ones are definitely Charbonnel et Walker – Pink Champagne Truffles. They are a little pricey for chocolates but they are amazing and everyone likes to feel a bit spoilt now and then. Just try to pick out the flowers and chocolates she is really going to love.
A Hamper
A hamper of goodies is such a fun way to show your mum how much you treasure her. You can buy a ready made up one or pick out goodies yourself and pack them nicely into a basket with tissue paper and pretty straw. There are some very luxury ones on the market like the Fortnum and Masons Mother’s Day Hamper which is absolutely gorgeous but there are also more affordable ones like the Mother’s Day Gift Box which is so cute and thoughtful. If you want to make your own, some ideas to include it could be beauty, skincare and bath products, sweet and savoury treats, maybe a book with a candle and blanket.
A Subscription
Most Mums love flicking through a good magazine. A great gift could be a subscription to a magazine they’ll love. Think about their hobbies or interests – do they like travelling? If so, get a travel magazine subscription. Another subscription idea is the recent trend in monthly posted boxes, there are so many beauty ones but also ones where you can try new foods each month. Have a snoop around the internet and see what you can find.
Homeware/accessories
Personalised “mum” cushions and mugs are very popular especially when they are brands like Emma Bridgewater and Cath Kidston. I’m going to leave some links to things so you can check them out and see what I mean.

An Experience
A really lovely and popular idea is to arrange a nice experience for mothers. For example a voucher for a spa for two or an afternoon tea somewhere posh. I would love if someone just took me around London to the Elan cafe and Peggy Porschen for dessert but I’m not a mum and I’m not planning to be one for a long time, so forget about what I want and think about what your mum would really enjoy!
Now quickly, get buying! Nevertheless, remember Mother’s Day is not all about the presents, it’s about showing your mum how much you love her and making her feel special even if that’s just by bringing her breakfast in bed and giving her the biggest cuddle. I hope you enjoyed and please leave a like, comment and follow.
Love Jasmine xx
Love the fact that you added ”an experience” as a present! I love to give that to my mom and friends. I rather do something together and have the memory than to give ”things” 😀
